Our classes are divided into levels so that you can train alongside flyers working on similar skills. Read the descriptions below before choosing your class.
Level 1 Description
A level 1 class is a class for complete beginners, or those who are just getting started, and is suitable for all ages 8+. No experience necessary!
During your first class, there will be a safety briefing, and a group warm up. You will then learn your trick on the ‘low bar’, followed by the take off and landing. Next you will climb the ladder to practise the trick on the flying trapeze. At the end of the class, for those whose tricks are ready, there will be a catch round, where a catcher will swing from the catch bar, and try to catch you from your trick.
You will stay in level 1 class until you learn and catch a few different beginner tricks. Our instructors will let you know when you’re ready to book into a ‘level 2’ class. If you’re not sure, email us, or ask your instructor if you can move up.
Level 2 Description
You must have caught at least 3 different tricks to join a level 2 class and have been signed off by a FlightHouse instructor.
In these classes you will continue to learn new tricks alongside learning the trapeze swing, turn around and take off to further your progression. Once you understand the swing and can land safely, you will then be able to take the lines off and swing freely!
Level 3 Description
To join our level 3 classes you must be able to swing out of lines. You must also be able to work the platform for yourself and others as there are no platform assistants in this class. You must be signed off by a FlightHouse instructor to join this class, if you are unsure please check with us.
You may have or are working towards getting tricks out of lines and throwing them to catch out of lines. In this class, you will be working on more advanced tricks. You will also be working on strength and conditioning outside of trapeze classes.
